Disneyland is MAGIC for our family. We had such a fabulous time together over the Thanksgiving week. We had 3 days in Disneyland, and California Adventure! The weather was perfect, and the trip was awesome. It was something we all NEEDED, and being together was something we all really wanted and enjoyed!
We all gathered together first in Utah, and hung out with my brother’s family. Then off we went to California, with all of us piled into Dan’s big truck. (Johnathan was with his Dad in Spokane for Thanksgiving.) Our Disney trip was a time of closeness and love, and silliness! When you are with all of my family together, it is gonna get a little bonkers! But a good kind of bonkers… our cheeks often hurt from laughing so hard together.
We had so much fun screaming and running around getting on rides. Sammi kept track of all the details, and I did not… but most of us logged over 30 miles in the 3 days. Crazy! We ate some amazing treats and foods, and wandered around in wonder at the magic and Christmas splendor. Disneyland does Christmas decorating, especially at night, in the most fantastic way. It brings a tear to the eyes, at least to mine!
There were times when the park was full, and other moments later in the night, when the park was pretty empty… it felt like it belonged to us at the almost closing hour. Those were some of my favorite moments. We all had fun staying together, and breaking off into smaller groups, and some of us even took turns on our own — that is something I love to do at night. I like to soak in the feelings and magic, by wandering slowly by myself, and breathing in the secrets that create the Disney-dreamlike experience. My time alone didn’t last long, but it was special. Being together with everyone was the best though! Screaming like crazy on fast rides was so HEALING, and was such a great release of pent up EVERYTHING! WooHoo!
We spent Thanksgiving day in Disneyland. We made sure to get some Turkey legs and other kinds of meat, and we celebrated gratitude and family over a lovely meat-feast. We ate in amazing ambiance at the Mexican Food restaurant, outdoors, in the perfect California evening temperature and great star lantern lighting.
It was especially awesome on the last night at Disneyland, Dan and Henry ran into Justin Scarred and Ally — they are Disneyland Social Media personalities that we have enjoyed watching over many years. Justin and Ally were so kind to take the time and get a picture with Dan and Henry! (Justin is wearing the big “R” for Randomland on his hat.) It made Henry’s time really special, he was hoping to run into him, and he did!
Well, enough of words… let’s get onto the pictures and videos! There are many more pics taken by my kiddos, but this is what I have got for now… ENJOY!
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas! 🙂
